When the pace of drug discovery for COVID-19 needed to be accelerated, a team of scientists at the National Institutes of Health turned to a PerkinElmer solution-AlphaLISA^®. By reaching for the right tool, those researchers were able to pinpoint 25 known drugs that could be used to treat those infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

That assay is one of the hundreds of reagents, instruments, and devices PerkinElmer has developed to boost drug discovery and development process.
